Types of Color Blindness

Protanopia (~1% of males) · No red cones. Red appears dark, hard to distinguish from green.

Deuteranopia (~1% of males) · No green cones. Most common form. Green and red look similar.

Tritanopia (~0.003%) · No blue cones. Blue appears greenish, yellow appears pinkish.

Achromatopsia (~0.003%) · No color vision at all. Everything appears in grayscale.

Protanomaly / Deuteranomaly / Tritanomaly · Partial versions of the above with reduced (not absent) sensitivity.

About 8% of males and 0.5% of females have some form of color vision deficiency.
